In 1999, Vanessa Weng opened a small storefront on Eldridge Street in Chinatown and sold her first batch of dumplings.

In 2021, Vanessa’s opened The Dumpling Factory, its central kitchen, in a Long Island City building where a Vanessa’s Dumpling House also opened.

Today there are six Vanessa’s locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and New Jersey.
